Wentzel Dowling MBChB, MMed, FC Path Med Micro obtained his MBChB and MMed via Stellenbosch University and also has a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene via the University of Witwatersrand. He is currently a senior lecturer at the University and Cape Town and a consultant in Medical Microbiology at the National Health Laboratory Service. He serves on the South African Wider TB group and his research interests include TB diagnostics and laboratory workflow optimization.
