Dr. Nicolas Menzies is Assistant Professor of Global Health, and part of the core faculty of the Harvard Center for Health Decision Science at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His research focuses on using decision science, economic evaluation, and mathematical modelling methods to understand the consequences of policies to combat major infectious diseases and help design effective disease control programs when resources are limited.

Dr. Menzies is an expert on country-level TB modelling and its impact on policy decisions. He is on the Steering Committee of the TB Modelling and Analysis Consortium and a member of the Modelling Guidance Group of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria. His work also involves close collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of TB Elimination for US-based TB research, as well as the Gates Foundation and the World Health Organization. Dr. Menzies also has extensive experience planning and implementing economics research to evaluate health care services, and has undertaken numerous costing and cost-effectiveness studies of health programs to combat HIV, TB, and vaccine-preventable diseases.
