April L Borkman is a Program Manager at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) with over 12 years of program coordination and management experience. April received a BS degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston followed by a MA degree in Clinical Counseling from the Citadel. Her background has been largely focused on HIV prevention within disproportionately affected populations. Before joining Dr. Dorman’s team, April was responsible for managing several federally funded projects- both research and programmatic-that studied the intersection between trauma-related mental health issues and disease risk behaviors. April brings to the team extensive knowledge and experience in leadership and operations, program management, development, and coordination, regulatory matters, strategic planning, and quality assurance and improvement. April serves as a Clinical Coordinator for the MUSC FEND-TB program.
