Silvia Gabriela Pérez Romero is a Medical Technologist from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.

She is working in tuberculosis since 2016 at Laboratorio Humberto Guerra Allison in Instituto de Medicina Tropical Alexander von Humboldt at UPCH. Collaborating in different research projects helping in the laboratory coordination.

In 2017 she was Laboratory Coordinator of the Multicenter Study of the Accuracy of the BD MAX MDR-TB Assay for Detection of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Complex and Mutations Associated with Resistance to Rifampin and Isoniazid.

She is in charge of the laboratory procedures of FEND –TB in Perú.
